A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the following little champions that earned a spot to represent Western Australia at these National Junior Championships.

Under 12's: Scott Brownrigg and Mikey Read
Under 15's: Luke Foster and Jamie Ranalli
Under 18's: Dylan Fitzgerald, Thomas Partridge and Jason Hawker

Scott Brownrigg (3) def Mikey Read (1)
What a marvellous achievement for both of these boys - this is the first year they have tried out for the WA State Junior team with Mikey recently relocating to Perth from Darwin.

Luke Foster (3) def Jamie Ranalli (0)
From what might seem like opposite ends of the State (Geraldton and Cannington respectively), Luke held onto his title for the second year running.

Thomas Partridge (3) def Dylan Fitzgerald (2)
What a fight for the under 18 Championship and an absolute pleasure to watch these up and coming achievers.  Having won this event before, Thomas just beat Dylan who held on all the way playing in a best of 5.

In previous years, the Federation has held its State Championships at different venues such as the Mirrabooka Square, Forrestfield and Lakeside Joondalup shopping centres.
This year on Saturday 16 January 2009, the WA State Junior Championships were held in the Lounge area of the Rangeview Hotel, Eden Hill.

The WAEBF proudly supports and encourages the development of our junior pool players.  ‘Pool Plus for Kids’ is a Federation initiated and run program that’s designed to further develop eightball skills for the State Junior Development Squad. In addition, it focuses on the playing rules and manages in-house competitions in a friendly and fun manner.
